THE THINGS YOU CAN DO
"The things you can do, oh, if you only knew!
You can save the whole world. You can even save two."
THINK YOU CAN'T?
"But if a voice tells you—tells you that you can’t,
Make sure to ignore it, and not hear its rant."
WILL "CAN" BEAT "CAN'T"?
Written in Dr. Seuss style rhyme (no, Mr. Meus is not his long-lost nephew), The Things You Can Do (Meus Tales #4) is a fun and inspiring story of dreaming big, belief in yourself, and overcoming your "can't" voice.
If you like books by Dr. Seuss (like The Lorax and The Cat in the Hat) or books by Shel Silverstein, Sandra Boynton, and Margaret Wise Brown, then get ready to love Mr. Meus.
WHAT READERS ARE SAYING ABOUT THE THINGS YOU CAN DO
"Best children's books around."

...and much more.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Who IS he, you ask? Who IS Mr. Meus? Any relation to the famed Dr. Seuss?
No relation through blood; just connection through rhyme a marvel that travels through space and through time.
That Marvel of Rhyme, carried by Mother Goose, and so beautifully spun by the great Dr. Seuss.
Then the Dr. passed on, and his rhymes stayed behind. But who would the Marvel of Rhyme come to find?
There was a young man; as "Meus" he was known. And it seemed he was destined also to own...
That Marvel of Rhyme, that so very few see. Their names even rhymed--it was just meant to be.
Like you, Meus grew up with the Grinch and the Cat. And he felt in himself, "Hey, I can do that."
One day he was reading that Green Eggs and Ham, and then he just knew, "I'm a Rhymer, I am."
So he dug up some paper and pulled out a pen, and just started writing and then... then... well, then...
Born was the Mr. - one tale then another. So go tell your mother, your father, your brother,
Your uncle, your grandma, your neighbour, your sister, about this new Meus that they're calling Mr.
His rhymes have that marvel of old Mother Goose and that master of rhyme, the great Dr. Seuss.
That marvel of Meus it's awe and then some. So stay tuned for the wonder... there's more yet to come.
"If you like Dr. Seuss, you'll love Mr. Meus."
THE THINGS YOU CAN DO A Children Story About Confidence in Dr Seuss Style Rhyme Meus Tales #4 edition by Mr Meus Children eBooks
If your kids enjoy the Dr. Seuss style of writing and you enjoying reading that to them, this is a great choice. The rhyming is very good and flows smoothly. The sub-context regarding confidence is a great message to send to the little ones. Aside from the main story you get "The City of Light", which turned out to be my favorite story in here. Lastly, it ends with a peek at the next book, "Dear Mom" which was cute. I definitely like the Meus series, but I rated this four stars instead of five because it lacks illustrations. I knew that when downloading the book and I think there is definitely a compelling argument to be made for illustration free books that allows the kids to use their imagination. I just think some minimalist illustration would have been nice for the funkier imaginary words in the book. Overall though, I definitely recommend this and all the other books in the Meus series.Product details

THE THINGS YOU CAN DO A Children Story About Confidence in Dr Seuss Style Rhyme Meus Tales #4 edition by Mr Meus Children eBooks Reviews
I got this book for my nephew when I was babysitting him one day. I enjoyed reading it to him because of the familiar Dr. Seuss writing style. My nephew also enjoyed listening to me read it to him, especially with the rhyming. The story has a great message behind it about instilling confidence. I will certainly be downloading the other books in the Meus Tales series.
I don't have any kids, but I am a Big Sister and I am working on getting my certificate to teach so any resource that allows me to better encourage those I'm teaching, gets my attention.
The Things You Can Do serves as an excellent resource for anyone wanting to make use of any confidence booster children need and deserve. Told through a rhythmic pattern, each passage makes for a fun and engaging story the child or children you can most care about will appreciate.
Great to help children learn that they can do many things if they have confidence. We went on to create 'Can't Do-ers' which we scrunched up & threw in a box with a lid so that they can't escape! On the children's request we then made 'Can Do Cheerleaders', which we posted on the wall to remind us to have confidence with our work!
What a great rhyming book. I actually liked the bonus book as well. It would be a wonderful book if illustrated.
Love the Seuss style flow of words this book offer for the fraction of cost! The message is fantastic and I only wish there were many more books to purchase!!
There is something universally charming about rhyme. Mr. Meus has hit the nail on the head here. Adorable stories (3 for the price of 1)that flow off the tongue as smoothly as the any of Dr. Seuss's tales. Bravo Mr. Meus!
I love how this book brought me back to my childhood. I always read Dr. Seuss and the way the stories were told and how well all the rhyming is perfect. The stories are something that children will enjoy but also provide a great message. "The City of Light" was so well written and nice to see that someone isn't scared to write something that they strongly believe in. For a children's book there wasn't much illustration. It helps the child make their own picture of the stories but I think it would have helped toddlers get the stories easier. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed the book and recommend it to anyone who likes rhyming or Dr. Seuss.
